Another crewel cushion - done for Ken's mum. Unfortunately she had it out in their sun room for years, and it was nearly ruined when it got left outside in the rain and went mouldy. I rescued it and cleaned it up as best I could, but it wasn't the same, so I just put it away in a drawer and didn't say anything..:o(

The iris are beautiful. You must have put alot of hours in on this and it would be upsetting to see it almost ruined. You did a good job rescueing it from what I see = )

Yes I was a bit disappointed, but I know MIL didn't do it deliberately - she did so much embroidery herself when she was younger, so she appreciates the work that goes into things. She was delighted when I first gave this to her...I think she just didn't realise what was happening out in that room. You know when you see something every day, you don't see any sudden changes in things.
