"It takes ages to finish a quilt you're not working on!"

You're right - this is not a birthday card! When I had finished posting the cards, I was browsing through the pics of my embroideries, and decided to throw this one in for good measure. It is a tapestry, and took me about two years to complete. There are thousands of cat pictures around in all kinds of stitching, but this one is still one of my favorites, as they look so lifelike.

Gina,

Thanks for your comments on my blog over at:

We certainly could not do this without the help of all our coalition partners! Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Gina, they do look real! Is it crewel embroidery? Also, you asked me if I knew about 'Thread Heaven'. I've never heard of that. What is it? ....your embroidery is so pretty and cheerful. It must have taken quite awhile to do something that size.

Hi Maggie Ann, no this is not crewel embroidery - it is tapestry. Half cross stitch on a canvas that had the picture printed on it.
Thread Heaven is a thread conditioner (kind of waxy) that comes in a small blue box which you pass the thread through. It is American, have a look at www.threadheaven.com.
