This is a simple little piece of gingham that was possibly either a napkin or a placemat. It has a couple of small holes in it, but I had to have it because of the lovely chicken scratch work on it!

Patra's Place will be mostly about my linen collection, but also about my SINS (Stuff I'll Never Stitch), UFOs (UnFinished Objects) and projects that I am currently working on. Since I created this first blog, I have diversified somewhat! You can see the list of my other blogs, and my favourite websites and blogs by other people, on the sidebar.

Ah - interesting - there are those "daisies" again from my apron, that are not turning up in instruction books. By coincidence I have just been loaned a collection to photograph that is mainly those daisies as well, so I think they must be more widespread than I thought - just not in the modern books.
What a charming color combination.
Oh, those daisies are facinating! I must try them on my next CS piece! The funny thing is Gina, I've been to a ton of Flea Markets this Summer and I have only found one Chicken Scratch item, a red apron. That's it. I can't believe vintage CS pieces are so difficult to find here in my area.
Those little daisies keep popping up just like Linda pointed out. So facinating!
