
This little doiley looks insignificant here, but the real thing is very pretty indeed. The embroidery floss is either silk or rayon thread, as it is very shiny - more so than the usual stranded cotton.

This has a very familiar look to me. I think these dresser sets were very popular here in the states in the 1940's or so.
