"It takes ages to finish a quilt you're not working on!"

Hooray!!! Finally finished this sampler at 2 am this morning, keeping Ken company while he watched an old John Wayne movie on DVD. You can't really tell by looking at the picture, but I used some of Pam's metallic thread in the word 'Cabernet'. I used one strand of metallic and one of DMC and it looks great. Hell to work with though, even with the help of Thread Heaven!
Now I have figured out how to post pictures here using Blogger, Picasa can jump in the proverbial lake. They have been offline for the last few days, and there are a lot of very unhappy people out there, going by their online forum.

You might want to get something else like Photobucket as a backup as well, as there have been lots of problems with Blogger of late as well mutter mutter mutter :/ Your cabernet piece is just gorgeous! And to make your day, the peacock pincushion has arrived in the country ;) Mum posted it to me as soon as she found it ... I just need some new ink cartridges in my printer so I can print off a colour copy of the picture, and it's all yours :)))

Hi Anne,
Linda from Chloe's Place suggested Flickr, and I have posted a reply to her comment (nearby to this) which will explain what I do with my online photos. That is so nice of you to think of me with the Peacock pattern. Next time you are talking to Sharon, ask her for my phone number, and give me a call so we can meet up one day - hopefully all three of us!
