I found the book at a book sale, at of all places, the Blackburn Post Office! I don't know that area well, but I was with a friend who was posting some parcels, and while I was waiting for her, I was looking at books on sale tables just outside the post office. There was a bookshop nearby, so I don't know if the post office was doing them a favour by selling the books for them, but the postal staff took the money. If you are in Melbourne, email me direct and I will find the exact address of the place for you.
That does look like a treasure! I do admire crazy patch and want to give it a try one of these days.
