Last picture for tonight! I have just finished this little sampler for my niece's wedding next Saturday. Just have to find a frame now. This was stitched on 18ct Aida which has silver lurex thread running through it.

Hi Gina,
I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to come home and find your comment. I really enjoyed all the pictures you have in your blog. Maybe I'll get brave and post some of my forever projects of Cross sticth and embroderary. I'm still learning how to improve my calligraphy but it's fun to do even if it doesn't look all that great. Well it's been a long, long, day. Do you mind if I link you to my blog? I actually have two blogs. This is my other blog http://scribewithgold.blogspot.com/
I've already bookmarked your site. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. -Patty from IL

Hi Patty, lovely to hear back from you, and yes, I am happy for you to link me to your blog, whatever that means..the more the merrier - lol! I might scan some of my calligraphy efforts and put them on here, but it would be digressing from the original intent of my blog. Ah well, it's fun to have a variety of hobbies; makes life interesting, doesn't it!

Just a quick note to say that we went to my niece's wedding today and had a lovely time catching up with the rellies. I made sure she opened my gift before they were all carted off unopened to be opened later - I hate that! If I give someone a gift, I like to see their face when they open it. Well, she loved the sampler, as did her 12 year old daughter who held it up and exclaimed loudly "Oh, isn't it beauooooootiful!" so that everybody within hearing distance turned around to have a look!
