New addition to the Collection from a VIP.
My darling M.I.L. often calls me to say she has found another little item somewhere in her house, that she thinks I will like. Last week she said she'd found a table runner that she had embroidered when she was a girl, but today when we dropped in for a visit, she had a pile of linen for me! She said she'd found them in a bag in the laundry, ready to be thrown out because they were old and stained, but then she changed her mind, and decided to show them to me first. I am SO glad she did!!! I have everything soaking in Napisan at the moment, but I couldn't wait to iron this one and put it on here for you to admire. The others will be ironed tomorrow, scanned and posted here over the next few days.

Yes your VIP Lady is very special and I am so glad she gave you all the pieces that were on their way to the bin.
This cherry piece is very much like the supper cloth I had on my little table in the lounge room when you visited I just think the cherry pattern is so nice.
Now you know when you are home but NOT! home well that has been us this past few days. moving son and his furniture....just Rob, Robert and me :o)
Working at the shop and believe it or not Sunday work at another shop in Castlemaine I know yes I take on way too much. Anyway we found your message yesterday morning and missed the show so Rob will enjoy the one Ken taped (thank you Ken)
I promise to chat soon and then catch up with you both.
I will phone.

It never ceases to amaze me that peple want to "throw" this stuff out......*sigh*
Such a lucky thin that you were given the opporutnity to rescue...
Tannia
Some lovely new pieces there! What do you do with them once they're cleaned up? How are they displayed?
Gorgeous! Much too pretty to be tossed. I found a few new pieces in a shop over the weekend. I'll post pictures when I get them cleaned up.
Hi girls, thanks for visiting! LeeAnn, I think I remember that cloth you are talking about - it was lovely.
Tannia, my MIL knows how much I love all this stuff, and she doesn't throw anything out now, but she used to put the soiled or damaged items aside because she didn't think I'd want them. She knows better now!
Elisabeth (sew-in-love) I have linens and doilies all over our house, and I swap them around regularly. I also take sections of my collection to womens' groups and aged care homes to show-and-tell.
Chelle, I just checked your blog and they're not there yet...come on! Dying to see what you discovered!
Love those cherries!
