Doiley quilt top finished
The top is all pieced and ready to be quilted. But before that I need to do some hand stitching around some of the doilies that have wide lace or crocheted edges, otherwise they could tear if something catches on them.
that's turned out lovely
ReplyDeletehave a wonderful xmas & safe new year
thanx for sharing
Thanks Selina. See you on the Forum! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat use for all those old doileys with so much hand embroidery which might otherwise go to waste. Well done, looks very pretty. Sylvia X
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea for a quilt! It looks so charming and nostalgic!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing - I wish I knew how to quilt as I have a box full of things my nana stitched that never see the light of day. Such a shame.
