This is one end of a centrepiece I found in an antique shop last weekend while we were away. I showed it to some friends yesterday and one of them asked if it was patchwork! She didn't realise the orange dress is made up of tiny individual stitches.
Gina it is beautiful........I bet the back is as lovely as the front too.

How rare this must be...all that wonderful stitching must add up to a lot of patience and skill. Beautiful! Yesterday at an antique mall, I got some goodies. A dresser scarf, and a crocheted tablecloth and a large round doily. Loving it all!

That is incredible! I had to click on/enlarge the picture to prove to myself that it really was stitches. Yikes! I'm not a fan of orange, but this may be one of your most beautiful crinoline ladies. Very impressive.
