Bonanza in this week's mail!

Every day this week I have received a really lovely surprise in my mail. On Monday it was a packet of linens from Julia, who was cleaning out her stash, and sent me her unwanted bits in the hope that I might use them. On Tuesday I received a stunning biscornu from Kim in the USA, my biscornu exchange partner in Stitchin Fingers. On Wednesday I got a "good news" letter from a friend in North Queensland, to say she was safe after the cyclone, and today I received a handmade card from my friend Val (you can see that on my other blog here).
Here is Kim's biscornu - stitched on 32ct opalescent Lugana in specialised variegated thread and embellished with beads - WOW! The one I am working on for her will now have some major modifications to the simple pattern I started with!
Kim sent this darling card with her biscornu - how did she know I love cats?
And here are the goodies that Julia sent:
I am a very lucky girl (old lady?) to have such generous friends - thank you Julia, Kim and Val {{HUGS}}

What fun to get all those wonderful things in the mail. Kim really did a beautiful job on the biscornu.

Isn't the internet a wonderful thing, bringing together so many like minded people, who would otherwise have never crossed paths? I love it.
Nice gifts you have there Gina, and obviously sent with love.

Hi Gina,
Wow! Looks like you had a great week. Sooooo many goodies! That biscornu is beautiful. I learned something new about you, too. I didn't know you love cats.

I am so glad you like your biscornu :) I had a lot of fun stitching it! I did not know you loved cats, I just thought he was too cute so had to include him in your package :) He kind of looks like my cat when he was still a kitten.
